Forest Stewards Guild

The Forest Stewards Guild is a professional, not-for-profit organization of forest stewards, associated natural resource professionals, and affiliates who are passionate about restoring and sustaining the integrity of our forests while meeting the needs of the communities that rely on them.  Check out their webinars page.

USDA NW Climate Hub

The purpose of the Hub is to deliver science-based knowledge and practical information to farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, and Native American tribes that will help them to adapt to climate change.  This website has a ton of interesting information related to climate in the NW. 

WA Farm Forestry Association

Washington Farm Forestry Association is an organization of small forest landowners.  

NW Fire Science Consortium

The Northwest Fire Science Consortium is a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional network consisting of federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, universities, and private landowners within Washington and Oregon.

Northern Rockies Fire Science Consortium

Same as above, but for Northern Rockies region. 

Conservation Biology Institute

The Conservation Biology Institute (CBI) provides scientific expertise to support the conservation and recovery of biological diversity in its natural state through applied research, education, planning, and community service. 

Waste to Wisdom

Waste to Wisdom is an innovative biomass research project led by Humboldt State University and regional partners, who are building on existing research on the conversion of forest residues into renewable energy and other valuable bio-based products. 

Forest Trends

An international not-for-profit organization whose mission is to conserve forests and other ecosystems through the creation and wide adoption of a broad range of environmental finance, markets and other payment and incentive mechanisms.  Check out their Resources and Events pages for some interesting information, especially on forest carbon markets.

North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative

The North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative promotes development, coordination, and dissemination of science to inform landscape level conservation and sustainable resource management in the face of a changing climate and related stressors. 

National Association of State Foresters

NASF is a non-profit organization composed of the directors of forestry agencies in the states, U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia. Interesting resources; website has job links.
